The second night of the International Folk Festival “Wreath of Vršac” was marked by loud applauses and ovations from the vast audience, which had the chance to see performances by ensembles from Russia, Mexico, Croatia, Italy, and Serbia. After their impressive performance, ensemble “Grozd” was awarded with thundering applause, and justified their title of keepers of tradition in Vršac region. If we can judge by the volume of applause, Mexican ensemble left the greatest impression on our audience of all the foreign ensembles, but performers from Italy and Russia didn’t leave the visitors unsatisfied. This was the second night that our audience was intrigued by guests from Italy with their eye-catching demonstration of flag handling, and by Russian ensemble’s charm, acting and excellent coordination. Performances by ensemble “Broda” from Croatia and “Petefi Šandor” from Vršac didn’t go unnoticed as well.
